Power Supply for Nanosatellites

During the past few years we’ve witnessed a surge in the popularity of nanosatellites. In comparison with the standard satellites, nanosatellites fare better when considering cost efficiency(production and launch) and the space pollution once the satellite is, inevitably, obsolete. Their small dimensions ensure that they burn up completely during the atmospheric re-entry leaving no space junk behind. In addition to the aforementioned advantages, they are able to perform the usual satellite functions in communications, defense and safety, as well as equipment testing.

Our objective was to construct a power supply for the nanosatellite with 2 DC inputs(for the power from the solar panels) and 3 DC outputs, while meeting all the competition demands. Power from the solar panels is stored in the battery which is charged and discharged when needed.
