IFEC 2023

Our team has successfully finished the development and design of a Solid State Transformer – SST.

SST represents new perspectives in the development of power systems, which aim to raise the level of diagnostics and monitoring in transmission networks.

In addition, such solutions reduce the necessary investments in the improvement of existing systems, which are necessary taking into account the dynamics of the development of modern energy.

The essence of the project is to integrate power electronics devices into the transformer, thereby reducing the need for materials such as iron and copper, while simultaneously providing system diagnostics in real time. The semifinals of IFEC competition were held in Orlando, Florida in March 2023. The finals of the competition took place in July 2023 in Hanover, Germany. Our team managed to accomplish a great success, winning the 2nd place and The Outstanding Performance award.
