The H-Bridges team’s task for 2026 was to develop and design a bidirectional on-board charger for electric vehicles. The charger enabled galvanically isolated battery charging, as well as feeding energy back into the power grid (V2G functionality). The main project requirements included high energy efficiency, reliable control, 1 kW power output, a power density of 2 kW/l, plug-and-play functionality, and an efficiency of at least 92% at 1 kW.
In the competition finals, we achieved 4th place and received the Outstanding Technical Report Award for the best technical report.
